Free REVS Check now PPSR in Australia

The Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) now replacing Free REVS Check

Prior to January 2012, all REVS check via a Vehicle Identification Number, or VIN search, conducted for vehicles (cars, trucks, motorbikes, boats) were free of cost.

The free revs checks were available across all states in Australia (NSW, QLD, WA, VIC, NT, SA, ACT) but have now been replaced by the PPS Register, which combines all Australian security interest registers.

The PPSR now includes the Register of Encumbered Vehicles (REV) and incurs a fee each time a REVS Check/PPSR Check is performed.
